How do I
become a member of Grace Church?
The Lord adds to the Church such as should be saved (Acts
2:47).
The saved are identified as those who ...
- Verbally (with the mouth) confess that Jesus is Lord.
- Believe in their hearts that Jesus was raised from the dead
(Rom. 10:9-10).
- Confirm their confession and faith through baptism: “He
that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:16).”
Membership in the church is limited to those who, in willful
obedience to their Lord and Savior, confess that Jesus is the
Christ, the Son of God ( Matt. 16:13-19) .
Grace Church requires that each person desiring membership .
. .
- Do your heartily believe the doctrines of Scripture taught
at Grace Church?
- Do you seek eternal life, not in yourself, but only in the
righteousness of Jesus Christ?
- Do you confess that you believe God's promise of salvation
by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, which is signified by
baptism?
- Have you confessed Christ in water baptism as a believer?
- Do you declare that you love the Lord, and that it is your
heartfelt desire to serve Him?
